Our Background

Muffetta’s Natural products are made from non-toxic, biodegradable ingredients. They contain no ammonia, no strong irritants, and no petroleum-based chemical and are not tested on animals.

Our products are formulated to make the experience of cleaning your home a pleasure instead of a toxic cleaning chore. Using gentle, effective herbal cleaning blends not only will they clean your homes but will leave a clean scent that freshens the air and some wonderful aromatherapy in the process.

When did Muffetta start her cleaning business?

After many years working in a corporate environment I was no longer satisfied and in April of 2003 I started my cleaning/domestic service company. This is something I truly enjoy. Growing up in Jamaica and having to keep my surroundings clean and organize at all times has given me a lot of knowledge.

What prompted Muffetta to begin making and selling her own cleaning products?

I always liked things made of natural elements. My love for natural products did not just beginwith the company, it began many years ago as a child growing up in Jamaica. My mother., Pearline was a big preponderant of many things natural and she used many natural herbs to cook, clean and for health purposes and she still does.

Fifteen years ago I passed out from using bleach and I realized how much I hated smelling anything that had such strong chemicals in it. I began to do some more research about natural cleaning and started making some things to use, using items such as baking soda, washing soda, and vinegar and herbs for cleaning.

My knowledge of making these products came in handy when on the first day of cleaning my first client’s home she recommended her friend. When I went to give the estimate the first thing the client mentioned was that she uses no harsh chemicals and if I knew how to clean using natural products. Krista, the client asked for my advice and I told her what would be used to clean her home and she was impressed. We cleaned her home for two years until we stopped serving her area in 2005.

Muffetta's Domestic Assistants employees use these environmentally friendly products to clean clients’ homes for several years, giving us first-hand knowledge of and experience with their effectiveness and safety of the products.

We are now manufacturing all our products in Jamaica, back to my roots where it started.
